Rusty Symbol Of Love
Sometimes my mirror shows me
Holding a rust covered necklace,
A sacred treasure from the past.
Didn't I gaze upon it with awe
Once you revealed this most rare
Wonderful star plucked from the sky?
The topaz gem shone in the sun;
Heaven must have gave birth to an
Enchantment,reducing me to tears.
Beauty has a new defination, you said,
Lowering the pendant to my pale neck
And it was then did I feel its gentle
Clasp; you twirled me around in daylight,
Kissing my lips as I uttered nonsense.
Dreams, so sweet and pleasurable, has
Regrettably faded; once a token of your
Affection now becomes a symbol of hate.
Gold lives a bittersweet existence, li
